Day 8 | Pray Always

Today’s Scripture:

“For this reason, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding” - Colossians 1:9

Full Scripture Reading: Colossians 1: 3-14

Today’s Thought:

During the second week of our Spiritual Journey, we will focus on GROW. Specifically, what does it mean to grow spiritually in your relationship with God? So often our relationship with God ebbs and flows throughout the different stages and experiences in our life.

Do you spend time in your daily life on growing your relationship with God? Or is it when you need God? Or when you have time?

For the reminder of the week, we will be discussing ways to grow your relationship with God. Today’s focus will be prayer. We spent all of last week praying in a variety of ways. In Colossians 1:9, it states “we have not ceased praying for you.” Spend your entire day praying. Talking to God. Invite God into your life through prayer.

Today’s Prayer:

Let us pray.

Lord, we lift up our lives to you knowing that we need you in every part of our life. We need you as we continue to grow in your word, in your service, in your hope of how we can love our neighbors each and every day. Lord, we pray that you would help us to understand that areas that need growth in our lives, the areas that we are stuck, stubborn, or maybe cannot see a path forward. We know that you are the foundation in our lives and that you give us true growth, but not just for ourselves, but also our families, loved ones, friends, co-workers and neighbors. Today, we give our lives to you. Grow us faithfully to love as you do, unconditionally and always with hope in what is to come! We lift this prayer to you, and all God's People Said, AMEN.
