How the Bible was made?

September Series

The Bible is something that we have all heard of, we have most likely all seen one, some of us have picked up one, a few of us have read parts of the Bible, and 1 or 2 of us have read the WHOLE BIBLE!! Once you pick it up you just can't put it down...that's why they call it the good book! W

We are studying the Bible, but more than that we are studying how the Bible was made...who wrote it? When did they write it? What books aren't in the Bible and why? What's up with all the translations?

"Lost Gospels not in the bible"

September 18th

This Week...

"Lost Books of the Bible"

Tell me about the lost books...

We have been in a series the last two weeks talking about HOW THE BIBLE WAS MADE...literally. We spoke about when it was written, who wrote it, and why did they write it - covering topics like Old Testament poetry and prophets and the New Testament Gospels.

This Sunday we are asking a question that not many people know about...the lost books of the Bible. These are the books in the 400 silent years between the Old Testament and Jesus Christ! It’s an incredible Sunday to learn about the book that we all follow and that guides us daily!

Week 2

Who wrote the Bible?

Part 2 - Gospels

This week we are talking about the "Gospel." The word Gospel is used A...LOT...around the church. Did you know there are 4 Gospels? Did you know that each Gospel brings a different perspective of who Jesus Christ was in life and ministry?

OUR PASTOR

Hey there! My name is Joe Liles and I am the Pastor who planted The Neighborhood Church along with my wife, Jessica Liles, and 23 faithful people on Easter in 2012. This church was planted with a vision that you could fall in love with faith all over again every Sunday. Our hope was that your kids would have a place where they belong and feel so welcomed that they wake their parents up and say "let's go!" every week! It's true for my family too. Jessica and I have been married for 13 years and we have two kiddos, Caylee (12 years old) and Landen (10 years old). Caylee is an aspiring volleyball player and just starting out on guitar and Landen is a gamer that is working into wrestling and golf (interesting combo dude). We hope that we are able to meet you on an upcoming Sunday in worship!
